About the Role
Expansion Speech Therapy LLC is seeking a full-time, school-based SLP serving students across two elementary schools and one middle school. You’ll carry a caseload of students with a range of communication needs, serve as case manager for Speech-Only IEPs, and partner closely with educators and families to help skills carry over beyond the therapy room. You’ll be supported by a clinician-led team, receive structured mentorship, and work within a culture that treats professional growth and everyday joy as equally important.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Evaluation & Assessment:

  • Conduct speech-language screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations for students across the elementary and middle school settings.
  • Select, administer, and interpret formal and informal assessments; write clear, defensible evaluation reports. Complete evaluations within IDEA and Pennsylvania timelines, and support Child Find / MTSS / RTI efforts as needed.

Direct Therapy & Intervention:

  • Provide individual and group therapy using both push-in and pull-out models.
  • Treat a variety of diagnoses, including articulation/phonology delays, receptive/expressive language impairments, social communication challenges, Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) needs, Gestalt Language Processing, and executive functioning difficulties.
  • Trial, implement, program, and support AAC systems; train staff and families to use them across the school day.
  • Deliver neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based, relationship-driven care.

Caseload & Case Management:

  • Serve as case manager for Speech-Only IEPs - scheduling meetings, tracking timelines and compliance, obtaining consents, and coordinating with the school team.
  • Develop IEPs with present levels, measurable annual goals, and appropriate service delivery recommendations.
  • Monitor progress toward IEP goals by consistent evidenced based data collection measures.
  • Maintain organized, welcoming therapy space(s) and manage therapy materials and equipment.

Documentation & Collaboration:

  • Write clear, meaningful treatment plans, progress reports, and IEP documentation aligned to reporting periods.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent consultations, and interprofessional collaboration.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to promote skill generalization.

Team, Compliance & Professionalism:

  • Fulfill mandated-reporter responsibilities and follow all school policies and safety procedures.
  • Maintain student confidentiality in line with FERPA and HIPAA.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and reflective practice.

Who You Are:
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania, or license-eligible.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), or a Clinical Fellow working toward the CCC.
  • Able to obtain all required Pennsylvania school clearances before your start date (see below).
  • A skilled, warm communicator who is empathetic with children and families.
  • Comfortable in both structured and flexible environments - you enjoy variety in your day.

  • Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply - mentorship and supervision are built into our culture.

Mandatory PA school clearances:
  • Pennsylvania SLP license or Provisional license (PA Department of State).
